True isn't it? You can plan and plan until everything is just so, perfectly mapping every second, then............. (Thought there would be a 'BUT' didn't you?) The proverbial 'sh**' hits the fan! You all know what we're talking about. Everyone of us has had it happen, more than once too..........So what do you do when everything that could go wrong, does just that?
Not an easy question to answer, definitely nothing that can really be planned for. Bottom line? Breathe. What? No magic words of wisdom? No, but at our age we have had a few ups & downs and are still going.
The point is, you can't plan for everything. No matter how hard you try, something will happen that you hadn't expected. You can't live your life trying to be prepared for everything. It's impossible to have an entire life that is 'peaches & cream', all nice and 'warm fuzzy' perfect.
So what can you do? Breathe.....remember you're human. Cherish the ones you love. Do the best you can. That's all any of us can do.
So, your best laid plans didn't happen the way you wanted, many a plan doesn't. No one ever said life was fair. All any of us can do, is the best we can. Things that happen that are beyond your control, they're no one's fault, not really. What are you to do, blame your neighbor for the bad weather? Blame the goat or cow for sour milk? Life is what it is, it's a trial and it's a blessing. How is berating someone for something that happened when it's entirely out of their control going to make life better? It may make you feel better for the moment, but is making someone miserable worth that moment?
Regardless of what 'fate' has in store, we can either do our best to get through it or give up. We can be there for one another, encouraging one another in this life or we can make everyone miserable too. No one is saying you have to stand still while someone kicks you! There will always be someone that it's just better to walk away from.....but there will always be those that need your kindness and understanding more than your anger or frustration. We've made friends with people we have NEVER met, yet friends they are. Will they all come a runnin' when we need them? Some may, some may not. Some may want to, but just aren't able too. So what? We all have our journey. What people do or don't do, isn't the point, what we do and how we respond to life is.
When the proverbial 'sh**' hits the fan we have a choice. We can do the best we can to get through it, or we can waste our time making everyone miserable. Either way the only thing we really have control over is us.
